      METTA IS HERE!

                   GODDESSCARDS.COM
 Hello to all!
I can't express the joy and excitement I have felt since being asked to contribute to this new endeavor called "Inner Visions"! The mission to inspire, inform and entertain hits me right where I live...ah where is that? Why its a place called
Harmonee Park, just south of the I-96 expressway...take the Happy Valley exit and turn...but really,
wouldn't it just be easier to meet me here once a month or so?
 its all about you.....

Dear Metta,
"I'm not sure what's fun anymore"
 : (

 Dear Sadsack,

if it makes you smile...:it's fun
If it gives you a warm fuzzy feeling...
it's fun
If it makes you burp... it's fun
Of course, these are just a few of the things that I think are fun
and you might think that burping wouldn't be fun; however,
I can only use what's fun for me as an example 'cause
what's fun for me may not be fun for you...

Keep smilin'
Metta

Dear Metta,

Some of my friends tell me I should get a life. What do you think?

Lifeless

Dear Lifeless,

If you feel that you need a life then you certainly should get one.
Being a "smart" (isn't that a lovely way of saying frugal?) shopper
I would like to suggest however that you shop around,
wait until they go on sale
(1/2 price or buy one get one free would be a great deal!).
One word of caution, don't settle for "reconditioned."
(haven't you had enough of conditioning let alone "re" conditioning?),
check the return policy,
and make sure that it comes with a good warranty.

Live well,

                             Metta

Dear Metta,
Can you give me a good strategy for living my life?
signed~Stratergy Seeker

 Dear Strategy Seeker,

For what would on the surface appear to be a simple
one line question, there are, to me, many layers.
First, lets look at the word "good". I'm sure I could give you a strategy
that I would consider to be good; however, since "good"
is a matter of perspective & perception, it may not be your idea of "good".
(Do I offer "good" advice? If so, I may have to rethink that...
'cause my answers are free... "good" costs extra).

Secondly, do you know where you are...or,
where you want to go? I believe in being open and allowing
Spirit to be your guide.  In fact, let Spirit set the course,
navigate and drive while you sit back and enjoy the ride.
Just as if you're in New Jersey and  want to get to California a map helps,
so does knowing where you are and where you want to go in life.
That doesn't necessarily mean that there won't be detours and construction ahead or,
that you won't get tied up in traffic during rush hour.
However, when those "opportunities" arise, enjoy the moment &
be open to the alternate routes.  It may take you out of the way
or put you behind schedule but, in Reality, there is only
the time that's been created for humans convenience
(or not) and on this new path (or alternate route)

God may have something wonderous for you to see or experience,
if you just don't resist it. In other words,
(cause some things are worth repeating...and,  I need some "filler" on my page),
be clear about what it is that you desire,
visualize yourself already in that state of beingness and/or doingness,
through setting and living out of your intention and purpose.
And, live your life as though you already have, or are doing, that which you desire.

Now, aren't you glad I don't charge by the word?

Happy trails...enjoy the journey...

Dear Metta,
I've heard that you can attain "enlightenment" by simplifying.
 What do you think?
Signed ~ On the path

Dear On(e),

I too have heard that often said and while I agree to a point,

I can't fully embrace any belief system that
eliminates shopping from the equation : )
To me, "simplifying" means  more than letting go
of material things. Afterall, if it was just a matter
of cleaning out the closet and drawers we'd practically
all be enlightened and there would be
no war, poverty, or....oh, yeah...that's another subject.

Anyway, I believe that at least part of the answer is that
we have to let go of anything that's not constructive...
any feelings of negativity, resentment, etc...in other words,
emotional clutter...not just eliminating material things.
If you have "things" that no longer serve you then it will open you to
"the flow" of the universe by releasing & circulating them however,
I don't believe that just letting go of material things is enough
on its own.  While some would say that by letting go
of the material thingsyou have more time to be "at one",
I believe that Spirit/God (any name you choose to call it)
is everywhere present...
including in those red pumps or blue high-tops you bought last week.

PS ~ If after reading this you have any doubt or confusion,
please refer to the "offer" for "Instant Enlightenment"
 (Instant Illumination also available).
